The Symban F25T8/850 is a 25W fluorescent tube for replacing a lamp in a compatible 3ft T8 system. Its fixed 5000K colour and G13 pins make it a match for installations using the same tube size and colour; 30 lamps are supplied.

Keeping the same colour throughout a room can be useful when only some lamps have reached the end of their service life. Use the lamp with a suitable fluorescent ballast in a troffer or a socketed strip; its 36-inch nominal length is shorter than the common 4ft format.

If you prefer LED, the linked 3ft models offer selectable 5000K light. Choose Type A to retain a compatible electronic ballast, or Type B when the fitting will be rewired to bypass the ballast. The fluorescent and LED listings may supply different quantities and produce different amounts of light.

LED alternatives to assess for this 5000K lamp are RENO-LEDT8BC-11W-MCCT-36G(3FT) (Type A), RENO-LEDT8BP-12W-MCCT-36G(3FT) (Type B). Choose the 5000K setting on selectable-colour versions. Type A operation retains a compatible electronic ballast. For Type B use, a qualified installer must rewire the fitting with the ballast bypassed or removed according to the model instructions. Compare light output and sales pack quantities when choosing the LED option.

Buying tip: Match the lamp designation and pin arrangement to the existing ballast. Measure the installed lamp before ordering a different length.
