S9978 is the Satco 4ft LED T8 Tube in the 15W, 5000K configuration. Use this model in the corresponding T8 lamp system where the fixture retains replaceable tubes, for example an office troffer or a service-area strip. This 5000K version has a cooler white appearance, which can suit the break room or work area when a daylight-toned scheme is preferred. At 2200 lumens per tube, the finished light level over a stockroom aisle also depends on how many tubes the fixture uses and how much light its lens or louvre transmits. This version is non-dimmable and should be used on a suitable switching circuit. For the 48-inch T8 installation, select the circuit for this 15W lamp rather than using length as the only compatibility check. This model is the Type A option for operation with a compatible electronic ballast.
